04, Gaining Momentum

About this Work
Before the full run, there is the gathering, the shift from pause to intention, the moment the body commits to forward motion. Gaining Momentum catches something mid-decision: not yet at speed, but already tilting into it.
The warm yellow ground hums with suppressed energy. The form, part bird, part something more ambiguous, is built from collaged layers that seem to be in motion themselves: fragments sliding into position, marks crossing the body like velocity lines. A sweeping diagonal carries the eye through and out of the frame. It doesn’t resolve; it propels.
